Assisting the Government of Ethiopia to form a long-term geothermal strategy and a six-year plan: exploring and establishing resource potential at identified geothermal sites, identifying new sites for both power generation and direct use, and de-risking development through detailed surface studies and exploratory reservoir confirmation drilling — to draw private sector developers in. Initially funded by the Government of Ethiopia and donors, designed to become self-sustaining through grants, credits and revenue.
Recovered. A major national-scale mandate that appears in the 2023 profile and nowhere in the 2025 profile. Its omission looks like an oversight, not a decision.
