AESG served as a consultant for the preparation of a long-term joint EU-AU research and innovation partnership on renewable energy, known as PRE-LEAP-RE. The aim of this project was to facilitate collaboration between the EU and AU in advancing renewable energy research and innovation.
Strategic Planning: Assisted in the strategic planning process for the EU-AU partnership on renewable energy. This involved outlining objectives, identifying key areas of focus, and developing a roadmap for collaboration.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engaged with stakeholders from both the EU and AU, including government agencies, research institutions, industry partners, and other relevant organizations. Facilitated discussions and fostered partnerships to support the goals of PRE-LEAP-RE.
Policy Analysis: Conducted analysis of renewable energy policies and regulations in both the EU and AU member states. Identified areas for alignment and harmonization to facilitate research and innovation collaboration.
Capacity Building: Provided support for capacity building initiatives aimed at enhancing research and innovation capabilities in renewable energy within AU member states. This included training programs, knowledge sharing activities, and technical assistance.
Proposal Development: Assisted in the development of project proposals for collaborative research and innovation projects under PRE-LEAP-RE. Supported the preparation of funding applications and facilitated the submission process.
